In short, yes, unless your insurance is Medicare or other government insurance program (government regulations prevent us from offering DPC if we accept traditional Medicare insurance).
While we DO NOT bill your insurance company, we do encourage our patients to keep their traditional health insurance to cover things like outside testing, referrals to specialists, emergency room and urgent care needs, and hospitalizations. Superbills are not provided for services performed in our office.
No, we are a primary care clinic in Cleveland, TN and provide medical care, not insurance. Being a member of TOC alone will not satisfy the individual mandate of the ACA.
Every month you will receive an invoice from our office with your monthly membership fee and any costs that have accrued the month prior. This will be set up through an auto-pay system upon signing up.
Under current tax law, you cannot use the funds in your Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay your direct primary care membership fees. However you can use HSA funds to pay for any other non-recurring medical charges such as wholesale medications, labs, and integrative medicine services.
Yes. Just like a gym membership, you pay whether you use us or not. It’s been shown that people are more likely to reach their health goals when they have access to readily available services.

At Tennessee Osteopathic Center, you pay one low monthly fee for direct primary care services. Any additional charges for services outside our office will be provided at a greatly discounted rate.
For concierge physician services, the patient pays a monthly fee, and insurance is charged for any services rendered, leaving the patient responsible for co-pay and co-insurance in addition to their monthly fee.
If you feel you are having a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your local emergency department. Please notify us on your way to the emergency room so we can either meet you there or speak with your care team directly.
Just like traditional medical offices, your doctor at Tennessee Osteopathic Center can order any testing necessary for your care. If you need a referral to a specialist, our office can arrange these for you.
As much as you need! Your membership includes all primary care visits, wellness and acute care. It also includes 6 integrative visits per year.
